Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is seeking a Benefits Specialist to manage and enhance our comprehensive benefits programs in Minnesota. The role involves administering medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement benefits, delivering clear communications, and ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.

You will liaise with HRIS, Payroll, and benefit vendors to support employees and dependents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, HR Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of benefits administration experience.
• Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
• Experience with HRIS systems and benefits portals; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness programs, and retirement plans.
• Process employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in HR and payroll systems.
• Serve as the primary contact for benefit inquiries, guiding eligibility, coverage and claims.
• Coordinate open enrollment materials, policy updates and employee education sessions.
• Support employees with EAP and wellness benefits via third-party providers.
