Job summary

LifeSkills Connection Inc. is seeking an HR Compliance & Benefits Specialist to own employee benefits design, administration, and multi-state compliance across all entities. You will partner with the VP of HR to shape benefits strategy and ensure competitive programs that support retention.

The role includes managing COBRA, 401(k), FSA/HSA, and leave policies; coordinating with carriers, vendors, and payroll, and maintaining regulatory filings such as OFCCP, ACA, and EEO-1.

Qualifications

• Expertise in employee benefits design, administration, and vendor management.
• Thorough knowledge of federal contractor compliance requirements (AAP, SCA, WIOA/PRH, VETS-4212, OFCCP).
• Strong understanding of multi-state employment laws and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of all employee benefit programs including health/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans (401k, HSA, FSA), and wellness initiatives
• Coordinate COBRA administration and ensure timely notices
• Plan and execute the annual open enrollment process end-to-end
• Administer leave of absence programs including FMLA, state PFML, ADA, and company leave policies
• Own the federal contractor compliance calendar: AAP/OFCCP, SCA conformance and fringe/H&W, WIOA/PRH reporting, EEO-1, VETS-4212, and ACA reporting
• Track and maintain compliance with state-specific employment laws across all operating states
• Own compliance data and reporting: AAP, EEO-1, VETS-4212, ACA, and other regulatory filings
• Provide training and guidance to HR team and managers on benefits programs and compliance requirements
