Job summary

Austin Benefits Group is seeking a Benefit Client Advisor to own a robust benefits book and serve as primary client contact and strategic advisor. You will manage open enrollment, renewals, and ongoing support for a diverse client portfolio.

This high-visibility role offers autonomy, collaboration with leadership, and opportunities to drive growth while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Experience in employee benefits or business insurance at a brokerage, agency, or carrier.
• Track record of retaining and growing a client portfolio.
• Confident communication, from CFO presentations to HR open enrollment.
• Detail-oriented with strong trust-building and data hygiene.
• Self-directed and accountable, proactive rather than reactive.
• Comfortable with technology and keeping data clean.

Responsibilities

• Own the client relationship end-to-end from onboarding to renewals and daily support.
• Lead the full renewal process to protect client interests and firm retention.
• Build customized service plans and conduct in-person and virtual benefits education.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and grow account revenue year over year.
• Resolve claims, billing, and administrative issues quickly and thoroughly.
• Coordinate coverage transitions between clients, carriers, and employees.
• Maintain accurate records in the agency management system.
• Stay current on healthcare compliance and industry trends.
• Participate in industry events, seminars, and networking to grow the brand.
• Collaborate with Analytics and Client Support teams on projects.
