Job summary

Arnold & Porter is seeking a Business Development Manager to support several transactional practices, including Bankruptcy & Restructuring, Tax, Private Client Services, Project Finance, Sovereign Finance, and Syndicated & Leveraged Finance. The role may be based in New York or Washington, DC, and requires collaboration with partners and marketing teams to drive growth.

You will lead client-focused pitches, develop market strategies, oversee materials, and manage budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum six years of marketing and business development experience.
• Experience in law firm or professional services and with transactional practices is preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for transactional practices.
• Lead pitches, proposals, and RFP responses; coach attorneys for meetings.
• Create and maintain marketing collateral and client-facing materials.
• Manage budgets and evaluate ROI for BD initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor BD professionals; collaborate across groups.
