Arnold & Porter seeks a Business Development Manager to support major transactional practices from its New York or Washington, DC offices. The role partners with practice chairs to develop BD strategies, leads pitches and client engagement, and enhances market profiles across disciplines.

The successful candidate will have at least six years in marketing and BD, strong writing, and prior law firm or professional services experience, with budget and CRM oversight responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum six years of marketing and business development experience.
• Experience in law firm or professional services preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and priorities.
• Ability to work with senior partners and stakeholders.
• Experience supervising and mentoring team members.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute BD strategies for transactional practices.
• Lead pitches, proposals, and RFP responses.
• Coach attorneys on BD best practices for client meetings.
• Oversee practice descriptions, marketing collateral, and materials.
• Coordinate client events, webinars, and thought leadership.
• Manage budgets, ROI, and CRM data for decision-making.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Media Relations, and departments.
