Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Business Development Manager to create and build client relationships while sponsoring interactions to win project work across service lines, including building envelope, fire and life safety, geotechnical and CMT, owner’s project management, and energy/sustainability commissions.

The role covers market research, strategic planning, pricing development, and coordination with senior leaders to target opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar preferred.
3+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.
Willingness to travel within territory 50% of time (2–3 overnight stays per month) and at least 1 day in office per week.

Responsibilities

Perform market research and identify opportunities to win project work across service lines.
Develop a strategic business development plan to facilitate revenue growth for FL.
Establish and maintain client relationships and assist outreach plans with senior leaders.
Communicate outcomes of outreach campaigns to internal groups with clear expectations and timelines.
Identify and attend relevant networking events to develop client relationships and opportunities.
Assist in developing marketing materials and pricing for proposals with the technical team.
Track and report status of opportunities and outreach in CRM/planner.
Conduct minimum 1–2 job site visits per week following site safety requirements.
Maintain knowledge of the territory construction market and SOCOTEC service lines.
