Job summary

SOCOTEC US seeks a Business Development Manager to build client relationships and sponsor proposals across Building Envelope, Fire & Life Safety, Geotechnical, and ES&C services in Florida. You will develop outreach plans, present to clients, and coordinate with senior technical staff, sales, and marketing to win project work.

The role reports to the Business Development Director and requires 3+ years in BD/Sales, strong communication, CRM experience, and willingness to travel 50% (2-3 overnight

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Business Development, Sales, or Account Management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of the project structure in a construction consultant business environment.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (2-3 overnight stays per month).

Responsibilities

• Perform market research to identify opportunities and outreach.
• Develop a strategic BD plan to facilitate revenue growth in FL.
• Establish and maintain client relationships with project teams.
• Collaborate on outreach plans with senior leadership and marketing.
• Create presentations and marketing materials for proposals.
• Assist pricing development and maintain CRM records.
• Track opportunities and weekly activity in CRM/planner.
• Conduct weekly 1-on-1s with technical teams to review opportunities.
• Complete 1-2 site visits per week following safety requirements.
