Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth across Mid-Atlantic markets, building client relationships and winning projects in building, transportation, and infrastructure fields.

Reporting to the President, you will develop account strategies, manage a qualified sales pipeline, engage with public agencies and private developers, and collaborate with marketing to create compelling proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience developing relationships with public- and private-sector clients in engineering, architecture, environmental, transportation, construction management, or infrastructure industries.
Established professional network within the Mid-Atlantic region strongly preferred.
10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.

Responsibilities

Perform market research to identify opportunities and prospective clients within PA, DE, MD, Northern VA, and DC Metro territory.
Develop strategic business development plan to facilitate revenue growth in targeted markets.
Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain relationships with PennDOT, DelDOT, MDOT, DDOT, VDOT, and other infrastructure stakeholders.
Maintain a qualified sales pipeline and annual revenue forecast to meet growth targets.
Coordinate capture strategies, proposals, and presentations for strategic pursuits.
Track opportunities and outreach activities in the corporate system.
Conduct regular client visits and project site visits while following safety requirements.
