Sidley Austin (NY) LLP is seeking a Business Development Manager to serve as the liaison to the Global Finance Practice, working with practice group leaders and partners to develop and execute strategies and marketing initiatives. You will manage collateral, proposals, events, and client programs to strengthen cross-selling and practice visibility.

The role emphasizes data-driven opportunity identification, ROI evaluation, and leadership over BD/marketing activities, including supervising staff

Qualifications

• Eight years or more in professional marketing, business development, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Strategic Practice and Client Development: plan and coordinate marketing and client development initiatives; track ROI and budget impact.
• Proposals and Pitches: lead writing of proposals and RFIs/RFPs; coordinate pitch teams and follow-up.
• Other Marketing and Profile‑raising Activities: manage rankings submissions, awards, surveys, and events; coordinate with regional teams.
• Practice and Operations Management: support meeting planning, budgets, and cross-team coordination.
• Employee Management: participate in hiring, staff development, and performance reviews.
