Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Global Litigation Practice in New York. You will partner with group leaders and partners to craft and execute business development and marketing plans, manage collateral, proposals, and client programs, and drive cross-selling efforts.

You will supervise a team, monitor budgets, and coordinate with market intelligence and communications to raise the group’s profile and win new business.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional marketing or business development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business/finance, or related field.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Consult with practice/industry leaders to develop marketing and client development plans.
• Attend and contribute to group meetings and planning sessions.
• Track and analyze initiatives for ROI and budget impact.
• Identify business development opportunities using data analytics and market research.
• Oversee and refine marketing collateral, experience databases, and tracking systems.
• Coordinate with Market Intelligence for industry/client research and insights.
• Lead proposals and pitches, including RFIs/RFPs, with senior leadership.
