Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Business Development Director for US Air and Space Forces to identify, develop, and qualify opportunities within the Digital market space. This leader will shape winning proposals, engage customers, assess the competitive environment, and promote the Leidos brand across the corporation.

The role collaborates with industry partners, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to drive growth, craft win themes, and participate in bid activities. Travel is on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of professional experience.
• Strong familiarity and relationships with US Air Force and US Space Force.
• Proven ability to develop a growth pipeline across a heterogeneous portfolio.
• Aptitude for strategic planning, financial analysis, business development and teaming.
• Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication with internal and external customers/partners.
• Experience with milestone-based business development and capture processes; opportunity identification and capture management.
• Proactive, detail-oriented project management and organizational skills.
• Business acumen and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and lead opportunity maturation and pursuit through qualification and capture.
• Manage the full lifecycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits.
• Design and execute customer engagement plans, shaping win themes and collaborating with marketing/communications teams.
• Support captures within the assigned area, including reviews and capture strategy development.
• Conduct New Business Reviews at Division and Business Area levels to align pipeline and growth objectives.
• Develop, manage and oversee the BD budget for the division.
