Job summary

Leidos in Reston, VA seeks a Business Development Director for the US Air Force and US Space Force to drive opportunity maturation, qualification, and capture across the Digital market space. You will shape strategic proposals and coordinate with customers and partners to win new work.

You will lead cross-functional teams, assess competitive landscapes, develop value propositions, and ensure alignment with growth objectives while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the USAF

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/education, with 15+ years of professional experience.
Strong familiarity and relationships with US Air Force and US Space Force.
Demonstrated ability to develop a business growth pipeline across a heterogeneous portfolio.
A natural aptitude for strategic planning, financial analysis, business development and teaming.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop and mature opportunities for the US Air Force and US Space Force and lead capture activities.
Manage end-to-end lifecycle across multiple pursuits and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Develop customer engagement plans, shape win themes, and align with growth objectives.
Conduct market and economic analysis and perform competitive assessments.
Develop, manage and maintain the BD budget for the division.
