Job summary

HKS Inc is seeking a Business Development Director for Science + Technology to drive growth in the Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Raleigh, and Denver markets. You will lead pursuit activity and develop new client relationships for the firm, aligning with project teams and leadership across offices.

This role requires a 10+ year BD track record, CRM proficiency, strong presentation skills, and knowledge of architecture/interior design. Travel is expected as part of regional BD initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or related field required.
• Typically 10+ years of business development experience, ideally in architecture/interiors.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of architecture/interior design industry.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market analysis to inform BD planning across markets.
• Collaborate with office leadership to set yearly BD plans and target clients.
• Execute BD plans with project teams and regional leadership.
• Create capture plans for targeted clients and pursue with teams.
• Build relationships with prospective clients across practices and offices.
• Position HKS as a thought leader to clients and influencers.
• Represent HKS at events and conferences to generate opportunities.
• Coordinate RFx responses and interviews with pursuit teams.
• Track pursuits in Salesforce and report monthly pipeline and win/loss data.
