National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) in New York City seeks a Business Development Director to build and scale our sales organization. This relationship-driven role earns the trust of litigators and articulates NAM’s unique ADR value for matters.

You will cultivate relationships with mid-market firms, monitor market trends, and coordinate introductions to NAM neutrals. Travel regularly, represent NAM at events, track activity in CRM, and share insights to refine marketing and panel

Qualifications

7+ years’ experience selling professional services into mid‑market law firms or related legal-adjacent fields.
Relationship-first mindset and good judgment on when to escalate to experts.
Self-motivation and independent management of time and activities.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with commercial litigators across a defined group of mid‑market and boutique firms in the NYC metro area.
Monitor and communicate trends in practice group growth and market moves.
Match attorneys’ practices to NAM neutrals for targeted introductions.
Represent NAM at bar association events, CLE programs, and ADR conferences.
Keep records of activity and relationships through CRM usage.
Share market insights with internal partners to adjust marketing and panel development.
