First Merchants Bank is seeking a Banking Center Manager to lead sales plans, coach staff, and ensure operational soundness at the Bloomfield Hills center. The role emphasizes aggressive sales execution, relationship development, and rigorous service standards.

You will oversee operations, open accounts, process loans, and mentor the team through effective sales routines and coaching to drive growth with business and consumer clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales, management, banking, or related experience including supervisory.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at hire through NMLS; complete qualifications within 3 months.
• Obtain Notary Public designation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect all operations and compliance of the banking center.
• Develop and implement an aggressive sales and marketing strategy to drive deposits, loans and referrals.
• Regular outside sales calls to nurture relationships and grow market share.
• Market banking functions including deposits, lending, Private Wealth, brokerage, merchant processing, treasury management.
• Ensure the team delivers Gold Standard for Service and expands client relationships.
• Open accounts and process loan applications for consumer and business customers.
• Resolve inquiries and complaints using service-to-sales solutions.
• Implement sales management routines; conduct weekly meetings and daily huddles.
• Coach bankers in guided conversations and sales tactics to increase share of wallet.
