Job summary

First Merchants Bank in Sterling Heights is seeking a Banking Center Manager to lead sales plans, coach staff, and ensure strong operational soundness of the banking center.

The role requires driving deposits, loans, and referrals through outside business development and effective leadership of the center team, with emphasis on service and compliance. Strong supervisory experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales, management, banking, or related experience with lead/supervisory duties.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at time of employment through NMLS.
• Notary Public designation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect all operations and compliance of the banking center.
• Develop and implement an aggressive sales and marketing strategy to drive deposits, loans and partner referrals with new and existing client relationships.
• Regular outside sales calls to nurture and grow relationships and market share.
• Open accounts and process loan applications for consumer and business customers.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with authority, using service-to-sales approaches.
