Job summary

Vaisala is seeking a Sales Manager for the Research Triangle Park area (RTP) including Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. This remote role involves up to 40% travel and focuses on acquiring, growing, and retaining strategic accounts in the Continuous Monitoring Systems sales team.

You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and collaborate with marketing, product, and service teams to optimize account growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in life sciences or regulated industries.
• Proven ability to close complex, full-cycle deals.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new strategic accounts within the territory.
• Conduct customer discovery to understand objectives and requirements.
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Build relationships with technical influencers and procurement leaders.
• Lead customer presentations with sales engineers and product teams.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success to drive growth.
• Maintain CRM records, manage pipeline, and deliver revenue forecasts.
• Flag market trends and regulatory considerations to internal teams.
