Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security, a leading provider of fire life safety and security solutions in St. Louis, is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage accounts receivable, resolve billing issues, and improve cash flow while upholding company policies.

You will work with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve disputes, negotiate payment plans, and ensure accurate documentation in NetSuite. The role requires 1–3 years in AR or collections, strong communication, and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Accounts receivable or collections experience
• Ability to negotiate payment plans
• Experience handling delinquent accounts
• Proficient with Excel and ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to collect overdue balances via phone, email, and mail
• Review aging reports and prioritize collections efforts
• Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes
• Monitor accounts for late payments, credit holds, and non-payments
• Reconcile payments and research unapplied cash
• Maintain accurate collection notes in the accounting system
• Escalate high-risk accounts per policy
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with collection laws and company policies
