Job summary

Fire Protection Services, LLC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to help ensure accurate and timely collection of payments and support financial health.

The role focuses on outbound customer communication, resolving payment roadblocks, and following accounts through to resolution, with a high accountability standard.

The ideal candidate balances excellent customer service with achieving collection results and is comfortable working independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• 2+ years of AR, collections, customer service, or related accounting experience preferred.
• Comfortable making outbound customer calls throughout the day.
• Confident communicating about outstanding balances and asking customers for payment.
• Familiar with QuickBooks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to customers regarding outstanding balances.
• Proactively follow up with customers by phone and email on past-due accounts.
• Obtain payment commitments and follow through to ensure commitments are met.
• Take ownership of assigned accounts and work to reduce outstanding AR.
• Research and resolve issues preventing payment, including billing discrepancies and missing invoices.
• Maintain detailed notes documenting collection activity and customer communication.
• Prioritize accounts based on aging, balance, urgency, and collection risk.
• Process and post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit card).
• Generate and send invoices, statements, and supporting documents to customers.
