Job summary

Fire Protection Services LLC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team, focusing on high-volume outbound collections and accurate AR management. You will post payments, handle inquiries, and ensure timely resolutions.

The role requires proactive outreach to customers with past-due balances, researching discrepancies, and collaborating with Sales and Operations to resolve billing issues. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of clear verbal and written

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent; accounting coursework preferred.
• 2+ years in Accounts Receivable, collections, or related accounting experience preferred.
• Comfortable making outbound calls throughout the day.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make a high volume of outbound calls to customers regarding balances.
• Follow up with customers by phone and email on past-due accounts.
• Obtain payment commitments and ensure they are met.
• Take ownership of assigned accounts to reduce AR.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment roadblocks.
• Maintain detailed notes documenting collection activity.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to resolve billing issues.
• Escalate high-risk accounts to the A/R Manager.
• Meet outbound call and AR performance expectations.
• Process and post customer payments (checks, ACH, cards).
