Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in the Detroit area seeks a driven Sales Account Manager to grow automotive business by driving design wins, supporting production programs, and executing account strategies across the vehicle lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of semiconductor sales experience with automotive OEMs or Tier 1s; knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet; BOM interpretation.

You will collaborate with FAEs, product marketing, and engineering to position solutions and grow revenue.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of semiconductor sales experience supporting automotive OEMs or Tier 1s.
• Strong negotiation skills with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of automotive ECUs and network architectures (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with semiconductor product categories (MCUs, SoCs, analog, power, sensors).
• Ability to read and interpret Tier1 BOMs, system diagrams, and teardown analyses.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute account strategies that drive sustainable growth across assigned automotive Tier1s.
• Maintain regular engagement with engineering, purchasing, and program management teams.
• Identify and qualify new design-in and socket opportunities aligned to customer vehicle platforms and roadmaps.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline visibility, and revenue forecasting.
• Collaborate with FAEs, product marketing, and engineering teams to align product positioning with Tier1 cost, performance, and safety requirements.
