Job summary

California State University, Chico seeks an Associate Dean to lead the College of Engineering, Computer Science and Construction Management and to oversee departments, programs and centers in alignment with the university’s strategic plan.

The role requires a terminal degree or tenure-ready experience, strong supervisory and organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations while advancing equity and student success.

Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree in a field within ECC; or demonstrated tenure-ready equivalent.
• Experience managing a unit with teaching, scholarly activity, and service.
• Strong supervisory, planning, and committee-management abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the College of Engineering, Computer Science and Construction Management departments, programs, and centers.
• Serve as primary operations administrator for the College and contribute to university strategic goals.
• Represent the College in the Dean's absence and collaborate with Department Chairs and Directors.
