Job summary

Kampgrounds Of America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to oversee accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

This role will supervise the Payroll Manager and contribute to the annual budget with the CFO, while coordinating with external auditors and consultants. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, proficiency in Excel/GAAP, and the ability to manage a large team across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• College degree in accounting or related business discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in accounting is required.
• Proven leadership, management and business skills are expected.
• Occasional travel with a flexible schedule is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly closing process and ensure timely financial reports for KOA and subsidiaries.
• Review trial balances for corporate departments, properties and entities monthly.
• Assist in bank debt covenants and quarterly GAAP financial statements.
• Coordinate annual budgeting process and manage fieldwork with external auditors.
• Lead and develop Accounting Department staff and supervise payroll processes.
