Job summary

Kampgrounds of America is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing accounting functions across KOA and subsidiaries. You will help supervise payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and the annual budget, while coordinating with external auditors and leadership to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Ideal candidates bring a college degree in accounting, 5+ years of management experience, CPA preferred, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

College degree in accounting or related business discipline.
Minimum 5 years of management experience in accounting related field.
Proven leadership, management and business skills.
Focus on profitability.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Occasional travel with flexible schedule.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the monthly closing process and ensure timely financial reports for KOA and subsidiaries.
Review trial balances for corporate departments, properties and entities.
Post monthly allocations and accruals; reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Coordinate fieldwork with external auditors for annual audit and related statements.
Oversee payroll GL reconciliations and 401(k) payroll processes.
Collaborate with HR on payroll matters and oversee budgeting processes.
