Job summary

Ministry of Justice is seeking a Deputy Director, Asset Management to lead HMCTS's asset management function and direct a specialist team. The role focuses on setting strategic direction, overseeing leases and property transactions, and ensuring legal and financial governance across the estate.

You will provide expert advice to senior leaders on property strategy, performance and value-for-money opportunities, while coordinating with Estate Strategy, Facilities Management and the Judiciary to

Qualifications

MRICS/FRICS or equivalent professional qualification is required.
Proven leadership of high-performing teams in asset management.
Experience with strategic asset management and portfolio governance.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for HMCTS asset management and lead a specialist team.
Develop and maintain long-term asset management strategy for the estate.
Oversee lease renewals, acquisitions, disposals, occupancy planning and related risks.
Provide asset intelligence, occupancy planning and inform investment decisions.
Advise senior leaders on property strategy, estate performance and value for money.
Lead external advisers and consultants to ensure value for money and oversight.
Represent HMCTS at internal and external forums and drive performance reporting.
