The Deputy Director, Asset Management will act as SRO for those outsourced contracts, responsible for their appointment, performance, conduct and budget lines, to enable HMCTS to have rapid access to a comprehensive range of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for HMCTS's Asset Management function, leading a specialist team and ensuring the estate supports the effective delivery of court and tribunal services.

Develop and maintain the long-term asset management strategy for the HMCTS estate, ensuring property assets are optimised, legally secure, financially sustainable and aligned to organisational priorities.

Lead the management of HMCTS's property interests across the estate, overseeing lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, disposals, occupation planning, landlord and tenant matters, and other significant property transactions, whilst managing associated risks including lease expiries, security of tenure, landlord disputes and critical occupancy requirements.
