Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court is seeking a Deputy Director of Facilities Management and Capital Planning to oversee maintenance, custodial services, and capital projects across state courthouses. This role includes managing regional teams, contract administration, and budgeting, with focus on safety, sustainability, and efficiency.

Based at the Suffolk County Courthouse, the Deputy Director may travel and work outside regular hours as needed to support critical operations and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facility management or related field and seven years of professional facility experience.
• Experience managing a large portfolio of facilities and coordinating maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of building codes, OSHA standards, and sustainability programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, custodial, snow removal, and utilities operations across courthouses.
• Direct regional managers and administer contracts related to facilities management.
• Develop and monitor annual operating budgets for the FMCP department and regions.
• Lead safety, sustainability, and energy initiatives within facilities.
• Collaborate with DCAMM on major construction projects and reporting.
