Job summary

TruTeam is seeking an organized AR Collections Specialist to support the AR Manager and a portfolio of accounts. You will work with sales and admin teams to promote cash flow while mitigating delinquent receivables, building strong customer relationships, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include processing payments (checks, ACH, credit cards), initiating liens when needed, maintaining accurate collection notes, and assisting with month-end close and ad hoc reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• 1-3 years’ experience in credit and collections or billing.
• Notary eligibility.
• ERP and advanced Excel experience.
• Background in building materials distribution, construction or insulation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and collection support for AR Manager and assigned account portfolio.
• Promote sales while meeting cash flow targets and mitigate delinquent receivables and bad-debt loss.
• Negotiate and secure payment arrangements for delinquent accounts within limits of authority.
• Process payments including check, ACH and credit card transactions; assist customers with EIPP access and online payments.
• Initiate Notice to Owner (NTO) and lien documents; monitor and maintain lien/bond rights; file lien/ bond claims as necessary.
• Prepare and send statements, invoices and AIA billings; manage mailings to customers.
• Support ARM efforts to monitor and improve collection.
• Keep up to date customer collection notes in system of record.
• Provide support to customers to resolve collection issues; reconcile disputes and payment inquiries.
• Escalate issues appropriately; assist with month end close and ad hoc reporting.
• Use business acumen and good judgment in decisions; respond quickly to requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
