Job summary

Atlassian is seeking a Forward Deployed Architect to lead strategic customer transformations, blending enterprise-grade design with business acumen. You’ll be the in-room architect turning vague modernization goals into phased, actionable architectures and transformation plans across HR, Finance, Marketing, PMO, Operations, and Engineering.

You will embed with 1–3 strategic accounts at a time for 3–9 months each, report to the Head of Solution Architects, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in customer-facing technical, advisory, consulting, or transformation roles.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end transformations for Fortune 1000, large regulated, or public sector customers.
• Executive presence with strong written communication; able to produce memos, ADRs, or design docs.
• Strong workflow and systems thinking; map complex processes across business functions.
• Comfort with enterprise architecture concepts: cloud-native design, integration, identity, security, data.
• Ability to prototype, debug, and read code in Java/Kotlin, TypeScript/Node, or Python.
• Cross-functional credibility with IT, PMO, HR, Finance, and senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across time zones.
