Job summary

Ontic's Chatsworth, CA site seeks a Buyer III to manage end-to-end procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will coordinate with Planning, Operations, Quality and Engineering to meet production needs and mitigate supply risks.

Required: 2+ years in aerospace procurement, ITAR/FAR/DFARS knowledge, and ERP/MRP experience (Visual, SAP, Oracle). Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in Buyer, Procurement, or Supply Chain in manufacturing or aerospace.
Knowledge of ITAR, EAR and relevant regulatory requirements.
Experience with cost and price analysis for procurements.
Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and related regulations.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Visual, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent communication, follow-through and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Issue RFQs to suppliers for pricing, delivery and inventory position.
Select and award POs for direct/indirect material; negotiate pricing.
Perform cost/price analysis for competitive and non-competitive procurements.
Assist in supplier scheduling to align with production needs.
Identify supply chain risks and support mitigation actions.
Collaborate with Planning and Value Streams to prioritize materials.
Support compliance with processes, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.
Coordinate recovery plans for late or at-risk materials.
