Job summary

Ontic's Chatsworth, CA site seeks a Buyer III to manage end-to-end procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will coordinate with Planning, Operations, Quality and Engineering to meet production needs and mitigate supply risks.

Required: 2+ years in aerospace procurement, ITAR/FAR/DFARS knowledge, and ERP/MRP experience (Visual, SAP, Oracle). Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in Buyer, Procurement, or Supply Chain in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience with cost and price analysis for procurements.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and related regulations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Visual, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication, follow-through and problem-solving skills.

The Buyer III is responsible for executing procurement activities to support production and business requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role manages the end-to-end purchasing process, including supplier selection, purchase order placement, and order management to ensure timely delivery of materials. The Buyer III collaborates with internal stakeholders such as Planning, Operations, Quality, and Engineering to align on demand requirements, resolve material issues, and mitigate supply chain risks.
