Zusammenfassung

Ontic, Creedmoor, NC, is seeking a Buyer III to manage end-to-end procurement, ensuring materials and services meet quality, delivery, and compliance requirements. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage POs and subcontract terms, and collaborate with Operations, Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams.

The role emphasizes cost reduction, supplier relationships, and process improvement, with onsite work in Creedmoor and a focus on aerospace‑level regulatory compliance and risk management.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Experience in aerospace environment preferred.
• FAR/DFAR compliance experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, operations, planning, logistics, quality, and contractual terms.

Aufgaben

• Quote and procure mechanical, electronic, and electro‑mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Interpret MRP requirements to determine delivery schedules and maintain inventory levels.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure purchasing requirements are captured.
• Manage purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and applicable terms and conditions.
• Monitor PO/subcontract performance to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Develop and execute supplier negotiation strategies to meet cost and lead‑time goals.
