Job summary

Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Buyer II to manage end-to-end procurement in a fast-paced Chatsworth, CA manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Planning, Operations, Quality, and Engineering to ensure timely delivery and optimal supplier performance.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in procurement within aerospace or manufacturing, familiarity with ITAR/EAR, and ERP/MRP systems. Competitive benefits and a strong growth trajectory are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer, Procurement, or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Working knowledge of NDA requirements and handling of proprietary information.

Responsibilities

• Send RFQs to suppliers for pricing, delivery and inventory position.
• Select and award purchase orders for assigned products; negotiate pricing.
• Perform cost/price analysis for procurements; obtain favorable variances.
• Manage supplier schedules at PO creation to align with production needs.
• Identify supply chain risks and support mitigation actions to minimize disruptions.
