Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking an Advisor-Financial Expert (Provider Compensation) to serve as the enterprise-wide leader for physician and APP compensation. You will design and govern compensation programs, perform financial oversight, and ensure regulatory compliance while aligning incentives with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6–8 years progressive experience in physician compensation, healthcare consulting, or healthcare finance.
• Extensive knowledge of physician compensation methodologies and wRVU metrics.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements (Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute).
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, data interpretation, and compensation modeling.
• Executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep expertise in physician compensation strategy and governance.
• Strong business acumen and financial modeling capabilities.
• Ability to influence executive and physician stakeholders in complex environments.
• Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide provider compensation strategy across IU Health's employed providers.
• Govern design, governance, administration, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance of compensation programs.
• Develop executive-level reporting, financial models, and business cases to inform decisions.
• Partner with executive leadership, physician leaders, Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations.
• Assess compensation performance, risks, and opportunities; translate data into actionable insights.
