Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions or patient placement in healthcare or long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Experience working in a nursing home, rehabilitation, or long-term care facility.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and admissions software systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the admissions process from initial inquiry through resident placement, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to assess patient needs and eligibility for appropriate placement and care planning.
• Monitor occupancy levels and implement strategies to achieve occupancy goals while complying with regulatory requirements.
• Train, supervise, and support admissions staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high professionalism.
• Prepare and analyze admissions reports, metrics, and forecasts to inform leadership.
