Job summary

Apploi is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support census development and the admission process in a healthcare center. The role ensures regulatory compliance and operates under SOPs established by the organization.

The ideal candidate has 2 years in admissions/marketing in healthcare, with long-term care experience and knowledge of Medicare/billing. Collaboration with Marketing, Business Development, and clinical teams is essential to coordinate patient admissions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in an Admissions/Marketing position in healthcare environment.
• Long term care experience required.
• Knowledge of Medicare and 3rd party billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other caregivers within facility.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Center Census daily.
• Maintain electronic bed board and room assignments; coordinate with Environmental team for room readiness.
• Send Opening Census Report by 9:30 AM to designated teams.
• Notify Business Development of readmissions for follow-up and assist admissions re-admission.
• Manage department data logs and reports (tours, referrals, trend reports).
• Assign and track facility physicians.
• Provide Closing Census Report by 5:30 PM.
• Complete admissions and insurance verification processes.
• Collect balances prior to readmission; obtain approvals on financial/clinical criteria.
• Input referral information into systems and communicate with referral sources.
