Job summary

Aston Group is seeking an Admissions Coordinator in New York to support census development and the admissions process. The role ensures regulatory compliance through SOPs and coordinates with the Center Director of Marketing and Admissions.

The position requires coordinating with multiple teams to manage referrals, admissions, and billing tasks while maintaining patient readiness and smooth intake at the Center.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in an Admissions/Marketing position in healthcare environment.
• Long term care experience required.
• Knowledge of Medicare and 3rd party billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other care givers within facility.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Center Census daily.
• Maintain bed board and collaborate with Environmental team for room readiness.
• Send Opening Census Report by 9:30AM to designated teams.
• Communicate acute readmissions to Business Development for follow-up.
• Input patient referral information into the necessary systems.
• Complete admissions and billing tasks for each patient admission.
• Ensure patients and families are welcomed and oriented on admission day.
• Collect insurance cards and private pay funds where appropriate prior to admission.
• Assist Director of Admissions and Marketing with facility event planning.
• Attend UR meetings when Admissions Director is not present.
