Job summary

ABB Inc. seeks a Sales Lead in California to own a sub-segment and drive profitable sales growth with hyperscalers in the data center segment. You will develop and implement the sales strategy for your accounts and coordinate all commercial activities to deliver value and resolve issues.

The role reports to the Sales Manager and is based in California, ideally in San Jose, with responsibilities spanning multi-state teams and long-term account planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and commercial work experience in Account Management and Key Account Management roles.
• Solution selling, client engagement, negotiation and industry awareness.

Responsibilities

• Achieve consistent top-line sales growth with the assigned Strategic accounts.
• Accountable for developing, maintaining and growing the sales pipeline.
• Be the representative facing Strategic Accounts, in front of the key decision makers at various levels and locations.
• Lead a virtual team of Sales and Sales Support professionals across multiple states and regions.
• Create, plan and implement detailed Account plans and achieve timely completion of objective.
• Develop player maps and implement a program to connect the key sponsors at both sides for building longer partnerships.
• Drive early-stage engagement to influence design for automation friendly specifications.
• Lead and manage multi-year and multi-location sales programs and projects.
• Develop knowledge of the product portfolio and create customer value propositions and portfolio offering (Robots, Accessories, Function Packages, Robotic Cells, Full Turn-key Systems).
