Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Account Services professional to manage premier accounts of large employer groups. The role focuses on coordinating between customers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver critical project milestones and reporting to HR staff.

You will drive process improvements, support operational enhancements, and contribute to data-driven decisions with senior leadership. A strong background in data analytics and MS Office tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires 7 years of prior relevant experience.
• Requires a current active Accident & Health Agent or Sickness and Life license with California Department of Insurance or the ability to acquire within the first 90 days of employment to maintain employment
• Requires valid California driver's license and proof of insurance
• Requires experience with data analytics tools including strong MS Office Suite, SharePoint and Teams skills
• Requires experience in explaining complex concepts, ideas, and solutions for processes, products, and capabilities to a wide range of audiences including internal operations leaders, C-Suite & HR decision-makers, and external vendor partners, when applicable
• Some familiarity with formal project management strategies is preferred
• Knowledge of Blue Shield of California (BSC) or prior healthcare payer experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between customers/consultants, the account teams and internal operations staff for the plan.
• Manage key project deliverables for a complex, multi-sited employer group.
• Support technical & operational process improvements and customer reporting with key updates to account teams and HR staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop leaders and foster continuous learning.
