Job summary

Wesco in the United States is seeking a Senior Specialist – Strategic Account to support strategic customer relationships and develop long-term contractual agreements. The role includes sales support, material sourcing, vendor management, supply chain management and expediting to meet customer goals.

You will coordinate with account teams and supplier partners, drive process improvements, and apply a consultative service approach to provide effective sourcing solutions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; bachelor's preferred in sales/business/engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience maintaining and developing key relationships.
• 5-7 years with sourcing, RFQ and business support administration.
• Ability to travel 0% - 25%.

Responsibilities

• Key point of contact for customers, suppliers and our operations team to manage order entry and fulfillment
• Support and coordinate the execution of strategic account plans and playbooks
• Expedite material to meet contractual obligations and customer requirements
• Coordinate regular, scheduled account reviews, identifying and resolving problems
• Support implementation of new tools and process improvements to support departmental strategy, with support from senior management
• Maintain reporting for internal and customer requirements
• Source alternate products as needed to maintain delivery schedules or stock requirements
• Execute customer requests with operations team to ensure delivery and packaging requirements are met
• Communicate promise date, material, delivery changes, manufacturer defects, etc. changes with customer
