Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Analyst - Sourcing to research, analyze, and evaluate marketplace data of vendors and suppliers to provide business recommendations. You will manage a supply chain to ensure high material availability at the lowest total ownership cost and act as the primary contact to suppliers.

The role involves negotiating terms, managing supplier performance, and developing inventory strategies to continually improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associates' Degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.
• 2 years of related work experience; 4 years preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contract elements including terms, pricing, and lead-time.
• Manage supplier performance and develop/monitor metrics.
• Negotiate supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and review RFQ blankets and re-bid expiring blankets.
• Load and update pricing and lead times in purchasing database.
• Encourage electronic/automatic supplier interfaces and analyze spend for standardization.
• Serve as primary contact to current and potential suppliers.
• Develop knowledge of market drivers, trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Analyze material demand and determine inventory strategy for high availability at lowest total cost.
• Lead supplier negotiations and category strategy development.
