The Accounting Specialist at The University of Texas at Arlington performs advanced accounting tasks for travel reimbursements, purchases, and inter-departmental billing across several large Auxiliary Departments.

You will process invoices, purchase orders, time entries, travel authorizations, and student housing charges, ensuring policy compliance, accuracy, and timely payments, while assisting students and parents with billing questions.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED.
• Four years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting at a level comparable to an Accounting Specialist.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Review and process vendor invoices for payment for both PO and non-PO vouchers.
• Review and process procurement card logs for payment.
• Review and process charges on journal vouchers (IDT) in accounting system.
• Review and process eForms related to new hires, terminations, rate increases, and changes to positions.
• Review and process employee time entry to include correct hours, overtime processing and vacation vouchers.
• Review and process travel authorizations/expense reports.
• Prepare and process requisitions for Mav eShop and standard purchase orders.
• Review and process student contract files for completion for apartments, residence hall, and meal plans.
• Assist students and parents with billing questions.
