Job summary

Emerson in Houston, TX is seeking an Accounting Business Partner to deliver expert accounting support to our business divisions, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls.

You will partner with finance leaders on monthly close, advise on CP&Ps, support audits, and help streamline processes while guiding junior staff. This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least five years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience focused on financial reporting.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Finance Leader and GFS Controller on monthly close and journal entry review.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual general accounting processes.
• Collaborate with business leaders to guide CP&Ps and answer accounting questions.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors and Tax as required.
