Job summary

CFS in Houston is seeking a Corporate Accountant to partner with the Controller and Accounting leadership on key financial initiatives, gain visibility across the organization, and improve accounting processes, controls, and automation.

You will build expertise in financial reporting, audit support, and corporate accounting operations while supporting month-end close, financial analysis, and special projects in a growth-focused team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and amortization.
• Manage assigned aspects of the month-end close process.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Support financial reporting, account analysis, and management reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and accounting efficiencies.
