Emerson is hiring a Corporate Accountant located at its headquarters in Austin, Texas, reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The role participates in highly visible corporate accounting and financial reporting activities and ensures U.S.

GAAP compliance and strong internal controls across the global accounting organization. You will partner with finance and business stakeholders worldwide, contribute to automation and standardization, and support accounting processes for a multi-entity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls over financial reporting
• Experience in month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations preferred
• CPA candidacy or certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute key aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual close related to the worldwide balance sheet
• Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist in preparation of financial statement disclosures and external reporting
• Support accounting activities for unintegrated acquired entities across ERP environments
• Identify accounting issues and process improvement opportunities for management
