Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Accounting Business Partner at our Chanhassen, MN facility to provide accounting and financial support to business units. You will collaborate with Sr Controllers, Cost Accounting teams, and shared services across Costa Rica and Manila to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and insightful analysis.

This role emphasizes close coordination with multiple stakeholders and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience with focus on financial reporting and business partnering.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual processes for accounting not centralized in shared services.
Partner with Sr Controller and teams to ensure closing and accounting processes are compliant and performed.
Act as a key point of contact for business units, providing accounting expertise and financial insights.
Support preparation of statutory accounts and regulatory filings, coordinating with external auditors as required.
Assist with balance sheet review and closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and lead cross-functional projects to improve systems and reporting.
