Job summary

WhiteCap Search is seeking a corporate accounting leader in New York to manage accounting operations and the close process for a fast-growing technology company. This role oversees journal entries, AP/GL activity in NetSuite, Stampli-based AP workflows, and ASC 606/842 compliance.

You will drive SOX control testing, regulatory reporting, and coordination with SEC Reporting and FP&A to ensure accurate financial statements, with an emphasis on process improvements and staff development.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on accounting experience across public audit and private sector.
• CPA preferred.
• Lead month-end close and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee AP, GL, and journal entries in NetSuite.
• Support SOX control testing and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve journal entries, AP, and GL activity in NetSuite.
• Oversee AP operations via Stampli and vendor onboarding.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close procedures in NetSuite.
• Collaborate with SEC Reporting and FP&A teams.
• Mentor junior GL team members.
• Ensure ASC 606, ASC 842, and SOX compliance.
• Stay informed on regulatory requirements and disclosures.
