Job summary

Evlo AI is seeking an experienced accounting leader to own the monthly close and general ledger for a high-growth tech company. You will ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements, lead SOX 404 activities, and support SEC reporting while building scalable close processes.

Key responsibilities include coordinating audits, collaborating with FP&A, revenue and legal teams, and mentoring 1–2 staff. Ideal candidates have active CPA status, 5–8 years of public/private accounting, and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of US GAAP applicable to public or high-growth tech companies.
• Hands-on experience applying ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805 and business combinations.
• Practical SOX compliance experience in design, documentation or testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Active CPA and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient with major ERP systems and close-management tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations across balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements and schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive SOX 404 compliance and coordinate control testing with process owners.
• Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting, drafting footnotes and memos for complex transactions.
• Partner with FP&A, revenue, and legal teams on contracts, SaaS billing, and capitalization decisions.
• Manage 1–2 direct reports and drive automation for close processes.
• Coordinate external audits, manage PBC lists, fieldwork logistics, and auditor responses.
