Job summary

Evlo AI is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the monthly close and ensure general ledger integrity under US GAAP. You will build close discipline, implement SOX controls, and prepare for audit readiness as the company scales for SEC-adjacent scrutiny.

You will lead a 2–3 person accounting team, collaborate with FP&A, revenue, and engineering on complex topics like SaaS contracts and stock-based compensation, and drive automation across the close process.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of combined public accounting and industry experience.
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP, incl ASC 606 and ASC 842; SEC reporting familiarity a plus.
• Hands-on NetSuite or comparable ERP experience; journal entries and close management tooling.
• CPA license active or in progress.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close in NetSuite within a 5–7 business day close.
• Prepare and review financial statements and schedules under US GAAP, incl revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Design, document, and operate internal controls under SOX; coordinate audits.
• Manage a team of 2–3 accountants, reviewing work and developing skills.
• Partner with FP&A, revenue, and engineering to resolve accounting questions on billing, SaaS contracts, and stock-based compensation.
• Drive process improvement and automation across the close using tools like Blackline, FloQast, and ERP tweaks.
• Support quarterly compliance calendars, tax filings coordination, and ad hoc reporting for leadership and audit committee.
