Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing organization in Bristol, CT. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on accounting oversight, acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership.

The Controller will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and guide operational decisions while managing a high-performing accounting team and partnering with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience at Controller/Accounting Manager level.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and deliver financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop KPIs and provide strategic financial insights to leadership.
• Collaborate with executives across operations, sales, and procurement.
• Drive process improvements, system optimizations, and internal controls enhancements.
• Support ERP projects, audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff.
